Creative ways to use a Shot Saver

The patent-pending Shot Saver is a very versatile tool. Besides the obvious purpose of screening reusable shot from the fines discards on a blast machine, we have customers using the device to screen shot reclaimed from the pit beneath the blast machine, screening floor sweepings, rolling the Shot Saver on a fabricated cart with wheels from machine to machine, and others using the Shot Saver to classify media for peening. What clever ways have you used the Shot Saver recently?

Screen frame

Hi guys. One of the best things we did to improve the functionality of the Shot Saver early on was to add a removable screen frame. In the original model, the screen frame was affixed within the casing of the Shot Saver and you had to order a new Shot Saver if you needed a different takeout screen for maybe, an abrasive size change you made. The removable screen also allows for inspection of the inside of the Shot Saver casing and of the wire screen itself. Purchasers of the Shot Saver have applauded this enhancement and many now have extra screens for their Shot Savers on hand for either wear anticipation or because of the fact they use the Shot Saver in a mobile application, moving the Shot Saver from location to location screening floor sweepings or vacuuming out the pits below the machines. What are some of the ways you are using the Shot Saver that we may not have considered? What future enhancements or accessories might you suggest to give this great, patent-pending device even broader application?

Wow! Here is a blast from the past. Back when we built our Shot Saver prototype "Synergeering" published this article about the process of creating what Blast Guru had envisioned and drawn up using AutoCAD. Now, over a year later, the patent-pending device has become what we knew it could be... a best selling tool for saving tons of money in the abrasive blasting industry.

We created this community just for you, Shot Saver users, and we hope that by now you have seen firsthand just how well the Shot Saver works and just how much money it can save you by keeping reusable abrasive in your shop and not mixed in with your fines/discards. Feel free to share your experiences, your questions, and enhancement suggestions. We will be monitoring this forum as we begin engineering add-ons to our patent-pending, cost-saving device.
